Agricultural Insulation

Farms across Essex, Kent, and Lambton have unique insulation needs. Livestock buildings, greenhouses, and storage all need to handle humidity, condensation on metal, and temperature swings. We build the assembly around what happens inside.

Agricultural Insulation

What it is

Barns, poultry buildings, greenhouses, and storage that hold up to Ontario weather.

Materials

High performance closed cell polyurethane rated for agricultural environments, plus vapour barriers where appropriate.

Typical timeline

Most projects finish in one to two days on site.

Why homeowners and builders pick this option

  • Controls condensation on metal ceilings and walls
  • Steadier temperature for livestock and crops
  • Lower propane and hydro costs
  • Durable systems that stand up to washdowns

When it makes sense

  • New poultry, hog, or dairy buildings
  • Retrofits on existing barns with condensation issues
  • Cold storage, potato storage, and greenhouses
  • Farm shops and equipment sheds

Our process

  1. 01

    Understand the operation

Every farm is different. We ask about washdown, humidity, and stocking density before we quote.

  2. 02

    Recommend the assembly

For most livestock buildings we recommend closed cell spray foam directly on metal so condensation stops.

  3. 03

    Install and finish

We spray, trim, and clean up around your equipment and schedule.

Materials we install: High performance closed cell polyurethane rated for agricultural environments, plus vapour barriers where appropriate.

Common questions

Can you insulate around livestock?+

We prefer an empty barn, but where relocation is not practical we can stage the work to minimize stress on animals.

Will spray foam handle washdown?+

Closed cell foam handles washdown well. For high-pressure environments we can coat the foam with a protective finish.
