Metal Building Insulation
Steel buildings sweat. The moment warm air hits a cold metal deck, condensation forms and drips onto whatever is below. Closed cell spray foam applied directly to the underside of the steel stops it cold and adds real thermal performance at the same time.

What it is
Stops condensation on the underside of steel and keeps shops usable year round.
Materials
High density closed cell polyurethane foam rated for direct application to steel.
Typical timeline
Most projects finish in one to two days on site.
Why homeowners and builders pick this option
- Stops dripping condensation on trusses and product below
- Steady interior temperature through Ontario seasons
- Prevents rust on the underside of the deck
- Adds meaningful sound damping under rain and hail

When it makes sense
- Farm shops, equipment sheds, and workshops
- Commercial steel buildings and warehouses
- Storage barns and cold storage facilities
Our process
- 01
Prep the interior
We protect equipment, mask electrical, and check for any moisture already on the deck.
- 02
Prime if required
Some steel finishes need a primer for the foam to bond well.
- 03
Spray to depth
Closed cell foam is sprayed in lifts directly to the underside of the deck and walls.
- 04
Trim and clean
We trim any overspray, remove masking, and leave the space ready to use.
Materials we install: High density closed cell polyurethane foam rated for direct application to steel.
Common questions
How thick should the foam be?+
Two to three inches is typical for condensation control. We can go thicker where you want a stronger thermal envelope.
Can you spray around stored equipment?+
We prefer an empty building. Where that is not practical we can stage the work by zone.
